Ranganathittu

What a boring start to the day, no electricity early in the morning.. and since i was already bored and a little irritated after last night, thought id head out to Ranganathittu. Cameras batter wasn't charged, so for a change i went only bird 'watching' :p Caught a 6AM Mysore bus from Majestic and told the driver to stop at the Ranganathittu turning, to which he agreed. Got of there and waited for a while till some unknown biker group came and i asked for a lift..dunno why, but i did.. they had supposedly ridden all the way from Delhi and were on their way to Mysore, so decided to visit Ranganathittu on the way(good for me ;) ). Anyway got in and took 3 boat rides. The first ride was quite boring with the usual Cormorants, Spoonbills, Painted Storks and Pelicans. The second round and within 5min, i had my first raptor in sight, at first glance i thought it was a CSE, on further inspection, i.e. after it perched on a tree, realized that it was a Changeable Hawk Eagle. We carried on as the TOURISTS in the boat wanted to see the other COLORFUL birds and the crocs :( :( after about 15 min i spotted another raptor and the boatman kindly pointed it out as a Lesser Fishing Eagle. Soon we had to head and i decided to take another ride in search of the raptors again. But this 3rd ride was a little boring and we couldn't spot them. Anyway it was a long walk back to the Main road and from there after waiting for 45min managed to get a local bus to Ramnagaram. Ok now im too bored to write about the Ramnagaram trip, but in short i saw 3 Long-billed Vultures perched on a branch very close to the main road. Headed back to B'lore from there and yeah thats about it... :D

hmm..been long...but yeah was kinda busy... NO not wid examz, coll or work... i waz BUZY resting!! :p Been doing a lot of clicking lately ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/piranhaboy/) I guess iv started loving photography like never before... A few months back i used to dream of Ferrariz and Mitsiz..now i dream of Jeeps & Gypsies.. Sometime back it was huge guns that i wanted to own.. now it equally huge lenses that i want.. no im not gonna sit in an airconditioned office..wid my ass on some comfy chair..i dont wana drive a Ferrari(ok mayB it can be my spare)... I wanna be in the wild..ssiting on that most uncomfortable rock clicking pics..i wanna be loafing not onm streats..but in d jungles..armed with my 400D and a Canon 500mm F4 or a Sigma 500mm F4.5 ... YEah dats what i wanna do... for breaks i wana head home..and take care of my aquariums... The cityz not for me..id rather be in some forest ALONE instead of having people who pretend to like wildlife around me!! Hmm..now iv had enough of these birds for sometime..gotta save up on cash and go somewhere n try n get some mammals...
Anyway coming back to city life.. Bozoz got his new cam..clicking on Fil must be so much more fun..and his shots seem to be getting better & better.. heres one guy who really does what he likes... Vinayz of to Chennai..mayB on some Pilgrmage!! :p Looking fwd to meeting Aditi, DB, Sid, Niru, etc on Sat...

What a weekend!! :D

Finally..everything about this last weekend was FANTASTIC!! The Noonz treat worked out just fine.. a few importantnt people wer missing (Neha & Bozo), but yeah i was happy with the turnout. I guess a few of them people got a li'l bored 'cos of mixing of groups. This is the first time Arvind & Poster have come out with my friends for drinkin. Yesterday was MAIDEN!! It was awesome!! The chick from the band BRANDON ASHLEY & THE SILVER BUGS was HOT!! *drooool* Parikrama was such a dissapointment this time!! Anyway after the concert, we guys( Sid, Vinay n I) went to Pizza Hut for a quick dinner and then went to Vinayz house where we chatte till some 12:15Am. Lets hope the week to come has something good to offer too.

Was looking forward to this weekend for quite some time!! Friday(yesterday) was the Airshow, pretty OK, nothing that great, the damn Hummer was missing!! Liked the Su-30, Mig-35, Typhoon and the Boeing Loadmaster. Managed to click a few decent pics, god knows when il be able to proces them & upload, have run out of space on my comp(comp?? or should i call it a machine from BC??) Todays Vinay's and my Treat at Noon Vines and im bloody sick!! :( So wanted to drink, may end up drinkin only a little. The groups gonna be quite big, so far: Vinay, Bozo(mayB), Sameer, Sid, Arpan, VT, Arvind, Poster, Harish, Manasvi, Manasvis bro, Neha, Vibha, Kavita, Kavita, Padmini, Yamini, Pinky(mayB), sorry if iv left out anyones name Im sick n my heads not functioning properly!! :p Tomorows Maiden, dunno if il be going, hopefully i get passes.. Was reading Sidz n DBs posts, man..they do write a LOT!! :D
